I spent 40 years finding out why organizations underperform. Then I went back to school to prove it.
40 years in hospitals, plants, and clinics produced a pattern I could not get the standard methods to state. Every organization I worked in was undone by one thing, not by its average of many things. The methods I was trained in average. They are built to tell you how you are doing on the whole, which is the one question that does not predict the outcome.
I started a PhD at 67 to formalize it. The theory is Petersen’s Theory of Innovation Alignment. The tools on this site are what the doctorate runs on, because I built them to do it.
